The Festival is delighted to welcome back South Africans Goldfish, 13 years after their first visit to Sierre, for two exclusive concerts; Guatemala-based American artist Mose, with his organic, soothing musical creations; Einmusik, renowned for their melodic techno productions; and veterans Kraak & Smaak for an electro disco funk DJ set that only they know the secret of.
The programme is rounded off by a number of favourites, all of them female this year: Zoe Reijue, a Russian producer living in exile in Berlin, with her gentle, melancholy deep house; Mary May, a Franco-Congolese artist whose universe blends Afrobeat, soul and hip-hop; and Tami Hopf, a Brazilian painter living in Vevey, whose drawings explore the paradoxical relationship between human beings and nature.
Special projects for this 17th edition include a special concert concocted by Valais artist Loris Mittaz, accompanied by up-and-coming talents from the region (Mia Oud, Julie & Charlotte, Joyce), a floating lantern workshop that will light up the lake as night falls, and the much-anticipated closing concert on Sunday: a 360° percussion show under the circus tent directed by Nadav Dagon.
The visual arts are also in the spotlight, with an array of talented street art and video artists, plus a plethora of activities for young and old on offer every afternoon.
Tickets are now available online, with passes priced at CHF 89 (under 18s free), giving access to the 4-day festival in the majestic setting of Lac de Géronde, in the heart of the Valais Alps.
